ULYSSES AWAKES TRAILER

12 ensemble present a short film depicting the story of Ulysses awaking on a foreign shore through music and contemporary dance, featuring the ensemble's 2017 dance commission from acclaimed choreographer Alexander Whitley. This new dance, performed here by Sakeema Crook, is set to John Woolrich's work 'Ulysses Awakes' for solo viola and strings recorded by the 12 ensemble. John's piece is a reworking of Monteverdi's haunting aria 'Dormo ancora o son desto?' from Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria.
