12 Ensemble returns to the Golden Age of Hollywood and the composers that became its celebrities
Shostakovich's influence on the scene can be clearly heard in Bernard Hermann's iconic score to Psycho, whilst Waxman and Korngold's work drip with the glamour and romance of the 50's silverscreen. Selections from Jonny Greenwood's wistful score to Phantom Thread take us before the programme ends with Barber's tragic Adagio for Strings
