In coaltion with their 2024 album release Metamorphosis, 12 Ensemble devised a new immersive concert experience in collaboration with Art Director Ben Ditto. Performing behind a transparent silver-threaded screen, the ensemble were immersed in metamorphosing otherworldly AI holographic imagery that reacted in real-time to the orchestra's sound. The project is a collaboration with Art Director Ben Ditto and choreographer Becky Namgauds, and involved a team of artists exploring new methods of using trained AI as a creative tool. At the heart of the programme was Richard Strauss' Metamorphosen for 23 strings, alongside works by Edmund Finnis, Oliver Leith and Claude Vivier. The premiere performance was at Brighton Festival in 2024, followed by a show in Rotterdam's DeDoelen concert hall.
